Envirowales has the most state-of-the-art plant in Europe, using best available techniques (BAT) and operates to the highest environmental standards.
The build and commissioning was completed in three phases.
1. Phase I started operation July 2006
2. Phase II started operation July 2008
3. Phase III started operation October 2008
Over the years there has been significant further development to the processing and manufacturing plant.
Envirowales site directly employs in excess of 150 staff and contributes substantially to the local economy.
Envirowales has a fleet of 20 traction units serving the logistics of the business.
Envirowales is a strategic UK industry site for the recycling of waste lead acid batteries.
Envirowales currently recycles > 95% of the battery contents.

To develop the Envirowales Rassau site as our UK centre of excellence.
